Account Deletion Overview

You have the absolute right to permanently delete your BeWell account and all associated personal and biometric data at any time.

In accordance with Google Play Store, Apple App Store, GDPR, and CCPA guidelines, you can delete your account directly inside the app, or submit a request through this public webpage if you have already uninstalled the application.

Method 1 — Delete Directly Inside the App (Instant)

The fastest and most direct way to delete your account is within the BeWell mobile application:

1. 1 Open the BeWell app on your Android or iOS device
2. 2 Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar (rightmost tab)
3. 3 Tap the Settings gear icon in the top right corner
4. 4 Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen to the Account Actions section
5. 5 Tap Delete Account & Data
6. 6 Review the data handling summary and tap the confirmation checkbox
7. 7 Tap Permanently Delete Account

Result: Your account is immediately deactivated, your local device database is cleared, active authentication tokens are revoked, and you are redirected to the Welcome Screen.

Method 2 — Request Deletion via Web or Email

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your mobile device, you can request account deletion by emailing our support team directly:

Please include the following details in your message so we can verify account ownership:

• Your registered email address used with BeWell (or Google Account email)
• Your registered profile name
• Subject line: "BeWell Account Deletion Request"

Web/email deletion requests are verified and processed within 7 business days. You will receive a written confirmation email once your account and data are permanently removed.

What Data Gets Permanently Deleted

When your account deletion is finalized, the following categories of data are purged permanently:

• User Profile: Full name, email address, password hash, avatar photo, age, gender, height, current weight, and target weight goals.
• Daily Steps & Activity: All lifetime step records, daily pedometer entries, walking cadence, active duration, and estimated calorie burn logs.
• GPS Walk & Run Trails: All recorded outdoor workout sessions, GPS latitude/longitude polyline trails, speed telemetry, and split times.
• Hydration History: All daily water intake logs, milliliter totals, and hydration presets.
• Weight & BMI Records: All historical weigh-ins and computed BMI metrics.
• Sleep & Rest Logs: Sleep times, wake times, rest duration, and subjective quality ratings.
• Social Circles & Connections: Friendships, friend requests, family circle memberships, and leaderboard participation.
• Device & Session Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push tokens, Bearer tokens, and smartwatch sync records.

Before You Delete: Export Your Health Data

If you wish to retain a personal archive of your walking sessions, daily steps, and weight trends before deleting your account, you can export your data directly from the app:

Go to Profile → Settings → Export Health & Activity Data to download your complete data archive.
